Health & Public Services Scholarships

Anne Cumming Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship was initiated in 2006 to honor a woman who dedicated her life to the nursing profession while raising her family as a single parent.  This scholarship will be awarded to those pursuing nursing training and education.

Mary Antonich Health Sciences Scholarship
This scholarship was initiated in 2007 to honor a woman who dedicated her life to the nursing and medical profession attending to emergencies and the general health of her community.  This scholarship will be awarded to those pursuing health science related training and education, such as respiratory therapy, physical therapy, nutrition, dental hygiene, sports medicine, psychiatric technician, pharmacology.

Mary Jean Azevedo Health Technology Scholarship
This scholarship was initiated in 2007 to honor a woman who bravely fought multiple myeloma while working full-time, caring for her family, and admiring the health care technicians and specialists for their knowledge and compassion.  This scholarship will be awarded to those pursuing health technology related training and education, such as radiology, imaging, pathology, audiology.

Frank Springer Public Safety Scholarship
This scholarship was initiated in 2007 to honor a man who was dedicated to his profession and the community, working his way from firefighter to Assistant Fire Chief until his death at an early age.  He actively volunteered in schools, boy scouts and youth baseball as well as spending time as a fire prevention instructor and coordinator, certified Red Cross instructor and affiliate faculty for the American Heart Association.  This scholarship will be awarded to those pursuing public safety related training and education, such as fire techology, law enforcement, public safety dispatch, human services case work, court reporting, paralegal, forensic science, criminal justice, disaster and emergency management and technology.
